                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHATTANOOGA CITY CODE, 
                   PART II, CHAPTER 25, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 
                   25-36, RELATIVE TO EVADING ARREST.
                   
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    	 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE:
       	    	 SECTION 1.  That Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Chapter 
       25, be and is hereby amended so as to add a new Section 25-36 as 
       follows:
            Sec. 25-36.	   Evading Arrest.
            
            	 It shall be unlawful for any person in the City to 
            intentionally flee from a person known to be a law 
            enforcement officer and the person knows that the 
            officer is attempting to arrest the person, or has been 
            arrested by a law enforcement officer.
            
       	    	 SECTION 2.  That this ordinance shall be effective two 
       (2) weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
